thinking about starting with swift

Im about ready to pick up the phone n call a local swift recruiter here in san antonio tx, is this a good move??? Please give me some advice... Thanks

Probably as good as any. Truth is, you have to pay your dues and that is accomplished by gaining experience any way you can. You are going to gain experience with a training company fastest. At any rate, it will be what YOU make of it regardless of what path you choose.

You aren't going to like everything that happens. My advice is... suck it up, it really isn't all about you no matter whether you are driving a truck or practicing medicine.

 

This is all good advice. Suck it up and get your experiance etc ect ect. There are alot of negative post about Swift , Swift sucks yada yada yada what I encourge you to do is read through the post and see why they say Swift sucks. If what drivers are complaining about are things you are things you could live with then go there and give them a year. If not stay away.
Now before you leap make sure your personal life can be put on hold for a year. You don't want any distractions your first year. Good luck

Okay, I work for Swift and umm I've been asked in pm to respon d to your post.

I'm certainly not and expert but I am honest about MY experiences and my husband's experiences with Swift.

So if you go to advanced search put in the keyword Swift and ask for posts by me you'll see a number of posts I have made. You can also look at the few blog posts I have.

hey everybody i just wanting to know some stuff about swift my uncle worked for them for about 4 yrs and told me wonderful things. i also have a wife and a baby girl who is one and expecting another inthe mid of march the job i work right now dosent have any benefits and hear the benefits are pretty good i knw its going to be hard a t first but we have to start some where please give some info.

There is a ton of info about Swift on the forum.

Try the company DAC reports section, look under Report a Bad Trucking Company and, Report a Good Trucking Company.

Get yourself a glass of your favorite beverage and be prepared to do a lot of reading. There are many who have gone before you, the research has been done and the material is available.
