Do manufacturers allow the public at large these items? I.E. if one wanted to rebuild an early model tractor

What are you thinkin"? Build like an older "glider kit"? Like with the Mack or KW, what do you plan to do with it, and go from there.

I was thinking if I find a good deal on something older that I’d like to take it allll the way apart and put it back together accordingly with whatever need renewing, replacing or etc. I just figured having some guidelines of sorts would be helpful and couldn’t find much in the way of Google. It was a half-sleep, half-assed attempt at work albeit

For perspective, purchase a late 80s…about ‘88 Mack R-Model and take it completely apart and put it back together with newer replacement parts where necessary.

    My advice - don't.

I'm doing a frame up restoration of an old KW and despite almost a decade and a half working as a full time mechanic there are many times I've debated just hauling the dang thing off to a scrap heap somewhere.

Trust me, its not a task to take on half-heartedly.

I didn’t exactly think it would be one. In any event I’d go about it and if I came to a deadlock just pay for the rest of it to get completed.

I'll give you a bit of advice.. wiring is something that you either like the challenges and know what to expect or it's just a PITA.. there's no in between.. me I would much rather rewire a truck completey ..than change a clutch .. but I like the challenges of wiring and making it look nice .. vs busting my knuckles laying under the truck replacing parts.. that's just me .. but with a truck you have to be willing to both
