Hello folks. I finally bought my first truck and am chomping at the bit. I started to shop around for insurance. The only company that has really shown any interest in doing their job is Progressive. Everyone else seems to be on vacation. I didn't go with just the minimums because I want to have more hauling options from the get-go. So this is what I got quoted on:
Primary Liability--- $1,000,000
Physical Damage--- $25,000 (Truck is paid for)
Uninsured Motorists--- $25,000
Cargo--- $200,000
General Liability--- $1,000,000 ($2,000,000 aggregate)
I opted for $2500 deductible on everything.
Down Payment: $2422.49
10 Payments: $1216.96
Total Yearly Premium: $14,592.09
If Paid in Full: $12,373
They also offered me about an 8% discount if I let my ELD provider send them data.
What do you guys think? Should I pull the trigger or can I do better with some of the others like OOIDA, Great West or TrueNorth?
