Hey everyone, I’m currently attending truck driving school in Michigan and just passed my Cdl permit exam. I’m now in the process for looking for local companies to apply to so I’m home everyday. I have 2 young kids with disabilities. My instructor was telling me there are several jobs out there even as a newbie that offer local.
Also, as I mentioned in a previous post My wife and I would like to transfer our life to Florida within the next few years. What companies would you recommend that pays well for someone new, has good health insurance, and gives an option to transfer to Florida?
Thanks for your responses
Best companies to work for that offer great insurance for family

McLane food service advertises their benefits start from day 1. Saia used to pay for your benefits 100% after 10 years but I heard they cut that down to 7. I’m not gonna swear to that tho, that’s just here-say.

Sysco, SAIA, Old Dominion, XPO, ABF, South Eastern, do and they usually have job for drivers with little or under a year of experience, and those jobs depend on where you live.
