Nope. Stay out, dont need people flipping to flat driving down rates in 10 months when the market on flat is already tight

(Tongue in cheek, kinda, tend to think you need a few years in any field to figure the seasonal way things work in rates and lanes. Id be a rank novice trying to pull van atm)

Exactly the point you can’t run all 48 states every day and claim you run in a 500 mile radius of your home.
If you are going to run all 48 states daily/weekly you need to insure for the unlimited mile radius because a majority of your miles will be spent outside the 500 mile radius.

I upped mine from 500 to lower 48, and it increased just under $600 per year. If you drop to $100k cargo, it could be almost a wash.

I have an update for anyone interested. So it turns out that the awesome quote I received was too good to be true. They had given me that quote WITHOUT running the DOT numbers. After they did this, my quote shot up to about $18,000! I asked why it shot up so high because I had a clean driving record, 6 years of CDL driving, and 800+ FICO. She said none of that mattered because I was a new authority. Does this sound about right? I will post the coverage numbers as soon as I bind the policy.

Yep sounds closer to what it has been lately. Did you get min insurance requirement for authority or more? Try min unless you really need that extra if so.

The only thing I upped was the liability from 750K to 1 mil. I also dropped the cargo down to 100k as some of you guys advised. I did a general liability also with 1 mil / 2mil aggregate. I also upped the collision from 25k to 40k, which was what I paid for the truck.
