Seems to be the way alot of people think. The recent selections we have had have been going downhill.
Makes you wonder what we will have to choose from next time. -
Short term, it will swing to the repubs due, to the democrats passing draconian bills that nobody wants.
In the long term, power may forever swing back to the leftist elitests, as they are the ones who will be handing out others peoples money....to the majority of voters that depend on someone other than themselves to take care of themselves.
Hijack off. Back to the CSA 2010 regulation that will make the United States of America a better place to live. In government we trust, as we must conform to their wish for eternal power in themselves. For the government, by the government, etc.....Live_Free_or_Die19018 Thanks this. -
Okay, so far we have JCT, Prime, Western Express and small companies shaking in their boots. Is that all? What about the rest of the "so-called" bottom feeders? I'll tell you what I'm thinking here and yeah, I know, wannabes should be seen and not heard, but.......
......bottom feeders have STOCKHOLDERS! Guess who's going to turn the screws when the schtuff hits the fan? If I've interpreted what I've been reading correctly, then the word "compliance" will become a new animal whose bite is deadly. "Unfit" to operate! "Yeah, but, but, but, Mr and Mrs Stockholder........" -
3 pages of bunk, and no answer to the question. well one.
Yup, thats truck drivers for ya.
Ya get everything EXCEPT the answer !!!! -
I really doubt any of these companies are shaking in their boots.JustSonny and steeleon1972 Thank this. -
With all these rules I have Become to much of a professional to answer these questions. I will have my Executive assistant issue a memo regarding your questions within the next 30-45 days.

Marten Transport has had a point system implemented for several years. They weed out their own screw ups without having the fmcsa hanging an axe over their heads. Very wise on their part!!

Spoke with one carrier the other day. They asked if I knew my BMI. I told them my height and weight. BMI cannot be more than 39%. I am # 30% 5'11" 215 lbs. I need to lose some weight.
JustSonny Thanks this. -
Does a carrier even have the right to ask that kind of question?
is it even legal for an employer to discriminate against someone based on their BMI?
Can I ask what carrier that was?
I heard a rumor that Prime was making hiring decisions based on BMI.
what happens if when you get hired you made the cut but then you put on some more weight, would they, could they fire you???
I dont think I would make that cut-off. I'm 6' 4" and 353 lbs. I used to be into football and weightlifting when I was younger before I got into the wonderful world of trucking. I almost started going to competitions before I met my wife. I just decided she was going to be better for me than all the meatheads at the gym. I definetely made the right choice!
Sorry, got sidetracked!Last edited: Jan 21, 2010
