Well, I got around to Jailbreaking mine yesterday. What a world of difference! I've had a lot of smartphones(techno-geek), and so far I'm amazed at the capabilities of this thing, especially after the JB.

phones first in your area. I have found better deals and seeing
before you buy is the most important thing with used iPhones!
Also have someone to check it to make sure no kiddie porn
is in hard drive! -
I've streamed pandora on this thing from Toledo, OH all the way to Stevens Point, WI without it missing a beat. I'd say that's pretty good. -

My wife and I both have iPhones. All of my videos were shot with iPhone. There are a ton of great apps for any interest. The only short coming of the iPhone is that neither Apple or AT&T offer a twelve step program to treat the addiction!

I feel the need to add to this myself now. I was a staunch Verizon supporter. Believed everything I heard about AT&T's poor service. I even had situations while I was OTR where AT&T users couldn't get web access and I could with my Verizon in certain areas. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, I wanted to upgrade to a new phone. I wanted one that was comparable to the iPhone. I know a lot of iPhone users and they all love them. When Verizon refused to work with me on an upgrade (they said I was a couple months away from eligible) I started researching switching. When Verizon still would not work with me I made the switch. BEST THING I EVER DID!
When I called Verizon to cancel they all of a sudden wanted to give me any phone I wanted at the promotional price. It was too late. I was set on an iPhone and went and got one. I went with the 3Gs and love it. And being local to Columbus, and sometimes Cincinnati and Dayton, the service with AT&T has been superior to Verizon. There are certain areas around her where Verizon drops calls. 6 places I can think of off hand. I have no issues with AT&T. I am pleasantly surprised.
Now, I am deciding whether or not I want to Jailbreak my iPhone. I have hears you can not if you run the 3.1.3 version (which mine is running). And I am not sure I would really need to for my usage. But after 2 weeks with this phone and I love it.
