I use the mk1 cameras that come preinstalled with every human and when they fail i get out and look. Backup cams while great in theroy tend to make for poor drivers as you become reliant on them and when you hit a situation where they dont work, are broken or are blocked.....well thats how crunchys happen

I use a cab cam wired camera on my trailer. Works really good. Know a few guys that have used wireless cameras with unreliable results. You really need line of sight between cam and receiver for them to work good. You have to run power to the camera anyway why not run cam cable too

Just get a backup beeper and everyone will move out of your way

I actually don't know a single trucker who uses a back-up cam in their rig. Not saying there aren't any, but I've never seen one, nor do I use one. So, no idea which works better.
I think, as inferred by others, just learn to back your rig.
I tend to be against gadgets that allow a driver, either in a rig or a 4 wheeler, to be lazy. Drivers need to learn driving skills and use those skills. Those gadgets, like back-up cams, lane assist, parallel parking, etc unfortunately allow drivers to weaken their skills and I simply think that's the wrong answer. My opinion.tscottme Thanks this. -
I'll note I don't use mine as a backup camera

Ya guys, I know how to back up. Been doing it for decades. But when I need to back my RV up into my home slot it is just weird approach and it is necessary to get out and see what the blind side is doing, trees and such block vision. Never mind the wife trying to help by being invisible and just yelling expecting me to hear her with the sound of the truck. LOL.
