    I hauled a good amount of rip-rap for MRC years back. We'd dig little tributaries out and reconfigure the streambed into deep pools with rocks and logs for fish habitat.

    The environmentalists were perfectly happy with driving a truck through a stream to deliver rock for a "restoration" but they'd shutdown a logging operation if the waterwagon left a puddle.
