This might be helpful just to know. Since I'm using Straight Talk to get on the Verizon network. I don't have the same coverage. I only have coverage on Verizon owned towers. You can see on Verizon prepaid coverage map.

When I used to go out west like Wyoming the cell phone towers are actually a local company that has good fast coverage. I believe Verizon has contract to use their system. So if a actually Version customer you have good service in Wyoming vs the third party companies like Straight Talk you have no service.

I have Verizon and my laptop will get internet anywhere. It has it built into it to always have internet. I think you can go to a Verizon store and get what you need . There is a gizmo that I used to get to have it all the time before I got the laptop with it built in. ( I am sure whoever your provider is can do the same as verizon) It is not silly at all , I wouldn't bother traveling with my laptop if It wasn't set up the way it is.

I'll be purchasing the calyx system next week. Best bang for the buck from my research. Non throttled highspeed internet. I stream a lot, as well as game so it will be the best application for my needs. The top modem/hotspot has the ability to utilize a hard line connection as well.

$750 for the hotspot and a year of service.(they have cheaper options) You basically have to prepay for the whole year and I believe the second year is cheaper since you have the equipment.

Cheaper than starlink and from what I've read it's expensive and not always the most reliable.

I just switched to T-Mobile, only had it 5 days so far. They have crazy fast internet. When I have their 5G Ultra Capacity signal. I’m getting 120MB to 600MB+ download. I even had 1,000 MB download speed. I did not think that was even possible from cell phones tower.

It’s double Straight Talk prices. I was having to may problems on Straight Talk. Since Verizon bought them.

T-Mobile has option for 100GB of Hotspot data add on. The Ping is kinda long like 30ms if playing games

How much per month? I'm getting 100gb hot spot for $50 through Red Pocket Mobile. It's ATT network. I'd like to try VZW or T Mobile though becamuse my main cell phone is already ATT and this way I could get a signal from one if no signal from the other. I don't need that very often but it does happen.

I have their unlimited high speed date plan right now it’s $90 a month with 50GB of hotspot. Then for $35 more I could get 100GB hotspot spot.

T-mobile includeds Apple TV and Netflix( with commercials) for free. Straight Talk was $50 with 100GB data limit, T-Mobile has plan with 100GB high speed data, I think it was $80 not a big savings.

The new thing seems to be they all say unlimited data but they will slow you down when lots of traffic on cell phone tower or you hit high speed data limit of your plan.

I have Straight Talk home internet, it run on Verizon. It’s download speed it like 20MB on 4G LTE. My cell phone at home on T-Mobile has their 5G Ultra Capacity 370MB download. You might be able to get T-Mobile home internet box then move it around driving. Not sure if they actually track the box location. They will only sell the home internet box if they have 5G at your home address. I’m going to drop the Straight Talk home internet also. It’s same price as TMoble home internet. 370 MB download is same as cable or Starlink Satellite internet
