Well lets get back to the purpose of this thread and get to your journey with Wal Mart. Your last post was on Feb the 13th. Did you make it? Are you currently driving for WalMart now? Are you liking the new scenery here at Wally world? Come on bro, lets get some info here, you started during your 1st week of onboarding. Me personally its been a change some good and some bad like any other job. There could be some improvements and changes which they say are coming in the future. But overall its been for the better driving for Wally world for me. So come on RoadHungryTrucker, whats going on in your part of Wally world? FYI, I started in March.

Do all Walmart DC do slip seat ? What is the starting cents/miles ?

Am debating this decision because it will require for me to uproot and move to a different state and am not sure that is all worth it.

Back here in the south, I just got an offer as a freight handler at the local DC center, I will make less money, work harder, more labor intensive, but I will be home everyday and I don't have to move away.

    Trying to get more information.

How do you get a room to rent when you move to a new city where you don't know anyone?

I will only be getting off the truck for 2 days at the time so is not like I need a huge place to be.

Let me hear some ideas and feedback....

Ok, bringing this thread back from the dead. I didn’t go to onboarding last year. I put in my two weeks notice at my present company and they offered me a very big raise to stay, so I did. But I’ve kind of regretted it and always wanted to go to Walmart and now with the pay raise I’ve decided to go for it now. Seems like a good time. So now I’m scheduled for onboarding May 9 in Smyrna DE and if I get in will be working out of the Gordonsville VA dc. Anyone work at that location can tell me what it’s like there? Thanks

What exactly is the pay at Walmart at this point? Wally World has always fascinated me.

Its not that easy. Every dc runs different. Some pay different or run different

There isn’t any “Exactly”. As stated above, pay is going to fluctuate depending on what DC a driver runs out of, as well as their schedule. Let’s just say, a driver at WM has to work incredibly hard to NOT earn 90k a year.

Believe me, from what I've seen recently from the "New Talent" some are filling the bill of working hard to under achieve.
