Nice place to tuck in for the night, as well. I liked stopping there running pipe between AR and PA. Nice family home cooking.

Everyone makes mistakes. As long as we learn and keep pushing forward is all that matters at the end of the day.

How many miles are on the driveline? Has the driveshaft ever been balanced? Is the front drive axles yoke still in good shape? Are the little retainers still in place on the yoke that prevents the u-joint caps from sliding outwards?Brettj3876, OLDSKOOLERnWV, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

Will give you one suggestion, since we are talking mistakes
get some extra airline splices and either glad hands or quick connects and a spare 7 way plug and carry those with you - you are going to need it at some point - trust me!
always use a routine when hooking and unhooking the neck - don’t let anyone interrupt you or you will the supplies above - trust me
also, get a 20k bottle jack and some short hardwood blocks of varying thickness up to 8” or 12”
This is for when the neck falls off your block onto the ground - trust me you will do this at least 1 or a hundred times.
lastly- don’t smash your finger in the dog bones - they are way heavier than they look
this you you will do only once - Trust me!!!!!!
what did you book?DeereRunner97, Tug Toy, Swine hauler and 18 others Thank this. -

630k miles. Not that I know of on balancing, visually without removing it it looks normal to me, yes all retainers are tight.cke, jamespmack, Brettj3876 and 5 others Thank this.

For cheap insurance I have my driveshafts balanced at the 500K mark. It's an opportunity to put a set of eyeballs on the entire driveshaft. My local driveshaft guru charges me a flat $275.00 to balance my driveshaft. Some shops are more expensive so it pays to shop around.
Also, have you replaced the harmonic balancer on the engine? They take a beating and can induce weird vibrations at different RPM and speeds.Swine hauler, cke, Brettj3876 and 7 others Thank this.
