True, still a strong built system. Others rot at Side rail cross member points. My Great Dane rails rotted Pretty badly, with pin holes. It had thin foam and plastic sheeting between the rail and each crossmembers. The side rails were flimsy. Side rails on that Atco are beefy. I wonder what if anything’s between the 2 metals.

I don’t know. We compared it against a Stoughton Z plate Van he bought last year. I suggested he buy the Stoughton. He hates it. Lol. I offered to give him the $36k he paid in March 2020. I prefer Wabash. I have an old 08 Trailmobile. It’s very similar to a Wabash. Has 12” crossmembers spacing. Paper spec. Holding up well. It’s heavy though, weighs 15k. I hear Fruehauf is making Dry Vans again. Looking forward to seeing one of those.

I’m asking because I’ve heard they are 14k lb dry weight, if that’s the case it would eat into payload capacity too much imo.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

6 months from now it will be cheaper.

I wouldn't want it. Too heavy and not necessary for general freight. I dont run in much of the corrosive stuff they put on the roads in the winter time anymore. If I ever do I always get that power washed off as soon as I'm back south and out of it again.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
