Hey can someone please help me with voltage gauge and fuel gauge on my classic.
    1. Fuel gauge works fine if my fan is off but as soon as i turn my fan on fuel gauge starts falling off.
    2. Voltage gauge- it keeps on showing fluctuations between 12.5 to 13.9 or maybe hits 14 or above once in a while.
I’m assuming maybe a short circuit or something somewhere. I just needs someone to point me in right direction or where to start from. (Detroit 2008 fully deleted) alternator wiring cleaned all the way. And motor has new sensor Harness and injector harness.

I think it’s the third thread on the same topic, different forums. OP have you considered just taking it in to the experts and pay to have it fixed? Shidd happens.

I already replaced battery connection with Volvo type Connectors and it shows 14.2 on batteries. But my problem is more likely just with dash gauges. Each gauge has 6 wire harness connecting all gauges in dash and ending up at speedometer. But I couldn’t seem to figure out ground cable out of these 6.

Most likely they are multiplexed gauges.
