Couple weeks ago my transmission quit shifting while driving. Tower it to a dealer and it was the alternator. That’s it, that was the issue that broke my transmission and didn’t allow me to shift from 12th gear.

When I start the truck the def gauge stays on empty, throws a transmission fault as well. Sometimes starts and stalls.
Kw says it doesn’t trigger any codes and it seems that’s all that there good for is fixing things with a fault code.

Cloud doesn't have a dispatch service I've been with cloud since June 2021. Cloud is good if you can find a good lane to run or if you have a good connection with a broker with lots of freight. Best thing about cloud is you have 100% control

How many miles do you have on your truck. The reason I ask is because I have a 2016 Peterbilt 579 with 606,000 mi on it. Right now I'm having an issue with the speedometer when the fan kicks on sometimes the speedometer kicks out when the fan cuts off speedometer kicks back in but only sometimes most of the time the truck runs fine. Shop can not figure out what the issue is

    Over 630k
Was suggested to check my fuses in the battery box to solve this one.
Sitting in Cheyenne for the weekend gives me time to tinker with it.
Need to try and get bunk heater working again. Just got it fixed a few months ago.
Bedjet doing a good job keeping it warm enough.

I’m pretty interested in this , but I’m also curious , correct me if I’m wrong if this is basically load boards simplified for you , I’m pretty sure that brokers don’t work for free wether it someone like CH Robinson or carrier broker like jb hunt or whoever they are gonna cut 15-20% off the top depending on negotiations then 15% to cloud trucks so your dishing out 30ish percent and putting 70% to the truck maybe a little more again based on negotiations, can anybody tell me if I’m correct in my thinking here , it’s seems the same as giving 30% to a contract carrier just the added benefit of not being bound & contracted to a single carriers freight & customers , your wide open so to speak or it sounds like , I’m still very interested in this and curious just reading up posts and comments doing my homework so to speak I guess , I welcome comments and suggestions

Seems like you’re a corporate spy paid to sow discontent among those who would choose to go this route for themselves.

I negotiate directly with most brokers.
Some cloud has to negotiate with jb, Uber.
Only difference between me and someone with their own authority is I give up 15% of the negotiated rate to cloud.
Brokers are being tight fisted though trying to get out of Cheyenne everything’s very heavy and very cheap.

The broker takes whatever off the top then cloud gets the loads. Cloud charges 10% to use their name in 5% for insurance if you have your own plates in bobtail insurance the only other fee is the trailer fee $250 a week and eld $30 a month. Occupational $145 a month I've been an owner operator since 2020 truck driver since 2011. Cloud has been the most profitable for me way less fees more money in your pocket. You have 100% control I would run to Georgia from Joliet Illinois area for $3000 get a load right back home for $2000 gross $5000 for between 1300 and 1500 miles. Leave on Monday home Thursday or Friday take back off Monday or Tuesday. But the board is horrible right now. So stuff has definitely changed I'm currently only making $500 a trip for 30 miles a Scott's load the diesel is high and freight board is low. Not to mention I have a $1630 truck note. For a few more months. Rates are horrible. Good luck if you have any questions I'm here.
