WOW. My 2002 Volvo was 90k CAD. New VNL 670.
The prices these days.... -
That was the final price I paid total with financing charges and their hiked up rate, my registration said they paid $130,000 for it brand new they buy in bulk so idk maybe they paid less than that. I paid it off early to save on interest because my final pay out was supposed to be July 2024 for a final total of $211,000.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Fuel surcharge comes standard over there?
-
I have no clue about that. The rates are the same as far as I know as if you had your own MC, the rate con goes directly to me from the broker I forward it to CloudTrucks and text them letting them know it’s there so they can sign it and approve the booking. Sometimes fuel surcharges are in the rate from the broker sometimes it’s just a flat rate.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

What lanes you running?
I was dumb and went west can’t find anything over 2 coming back east.
But then again rates back east don’t look that great either neither do fuel prices which just hit 6 bucks back home.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I’ve asked brokers for it most just laugh at me.
Had a location in Texas tell me brokers where charging 1,100 plus fuel surcharge to move a load from Hutchins to Houston But the loads were hitting the boards for 2.70 and under.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I use this fuel card program, it has great discounts, I get usually $0.80 to $1.25 off a gallon. I run wherever the rates are.
Normally if I’m east I’ll run LA to CO or GA to MI areas MI area to CO or to WA, OR, AZ. If you’re east and have JBhunt on your list they have a program you get to use their customer list for the full rate minus 20%, a friend of mine out east is seeing $6-9/mi ok those rates - they take 20%. Bouncing up and down the 95 is good, PA is a good area.
I look at anything within a 500mi radius and I’ll take anything at all within that sometimes further even as long as my week grosses me +$10k, staying west of the Mississippi I’ve been ok, only gone east of that a few times this year and still been keeping the same gross momentum going. I’m not afraid to work hard either, I did a 100% touch run last week breaking down nursery racks and loading the trailer by hand no forklift or docks. It was tough, wore myself out but fun. It paid 5k and I completed it in 24 hours.Infoonthesubject, RidgeRunner731 and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Oh I think I read that wrong you want to go from west coast to east coast then you should be able to get there for no less than 11k. I usually do it in two runs. A ocupen different seasons throughout the year you’ll find more than enough 13k one pick one drop rubs west to east.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
