To just fix the side rail is going to be about 4k. Crossmembers extra with labor.
Boondock, Rideandrepair and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Wow that sucks man. Hopefully you can get it fixed in a decent amount of time. I know you felt like a real dumb dumb when it happened. I almost did that when I first started driving and caught it at the last second. Was kind of same situation as I was trying to eat a sandwich fast and get on road again. Now I never eat unless parked.

Um, nobody said, unless I missed, DO NOT load that trailer. Those cross braces support the whole side and floor, and the forklift will be on the ground. I've seen floors break out and it starts with a broken cross brace.
Boondock, Rideandrepair, Keepforgettingmypassword and 2 others Thank this. -

What’s done is done. 3-4 cross members and a section of side rail it’ll be good to go. That’s what Insurance is for, Hope the fallout doesn’t cause you too much grief.
Boondock, Keepforgettingmypassword and 201 Thank this. -
Zero, it went down actually. Not allowed to explain why but if I could I would.Keepforgettingmypassword and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Lol I’ve done that my fair share I also triple check my fuel caps after fueling, walking around the truck another time. Also the hood latch, one time I hit the brakes normally at a stop light and wham goes the hood.201, Keepforgettingmypassword and Rideandrepair Thank this.
