Got a call today from my recruiter and she said I have been disqualified from attending school. I was to start Monday in Marshfield 01/25/10. My driving record has a 6 point speeding ticket on it in 11/23/06. But, in my initial application I declared this speeding ticket. Below is a copy of my e-mail I sent the recruiter that explains more on the time of what happened.

Hello
After talking to you on the phone this morning I started to do some thinking. It seems to me that Roehl's requirements have changed after you've signed the enrollment agreement contract on 12/22/09. On 12/07/09 I submitted my application with this moving violation declared, and now you say (Today, 01/22/10) it disqualifies from attending your school. Not sure if I can hold you to the contract. I'm also wondering if it's age discrimination. Is it?
What a shame coming from one of the top companies in the industry. This type of behavior is exactly what I've been reading about on the Internet. I'm a dedicated, smart, hard working individual, this is Roehl's loss.

So if it's a 10 week course starting in June by the time you graduate another 30,000 -40,000 drivers will have their jobs eliminated and CDL mills will have turned out several thousand more hopefuls . Good luck finding a job .

On the brighter side, Fox valley tech has probably the Best school for a CDL in Wi.
Something Roehls training cant match!kingfisher Thanks this. -
OK the recruiter called me back after receiving my e-mail. The explanation was, she had an oversight. Missed it. One of the single most important things to qualify a driver and it was an oversight. I have to give her credit for calling me back and apologizing that shows some caring. Still wondering what's really going on.
If you have a job today be thankful. You might think of helping out someone who is laid off.mycorky Thanks this. -
Everything has just changed for me. I'm back in my old career as a graphic designer. A company that I interviewed with last week offered me a job today. This day I will never forget for being sooo pissed off and then sooo happy in a matter of a couple hours. I've learned a lot about the trucking industry here. And when driving on the roads I will always give you the respect you deserve for doing a very tough job.
