Only Drivers Happy With Werner

That was something a "driver agent" told us. I guess so we wouldn't believe all the horror stories about the companies he was recruiting for. CRST, US Express, and a couple others.

 

Look thru this forum for info on what to look for. There are many excellent posts on what you need to look for, make sure people are aware of, and things to take pictures of.

 

looks like im going to werner here within the next few months, this may not happen because I am a newbie but would love to get my hands on a freightliner century..

 

Centurys arent too bad of a truck they are pretty quiet if you get a newer one, but you will most likely get a long nose, although i heard they are getting rid of the long noses so you might be in luck

 

I personally prefer a long nose. My only other choice would be a T600. But really I just dont want to get stuck with a piece of crap. Ive heard that if you go out of the Indy terminal you more than likely will. Im hoping thats just scuttlebutt.

 

I hear ya, I would be running out of the Lakeland, Florida terminal. Dont know much about it but hopefully I will get a decent truck. I dunno if I even would get a offer from werner now due to a traffic ticket back in 08 for doing 57 on a 45... I might have to do us postal service freight if anything for a year untill that is off my record..

12 over you should be OK. I had a prehire with a 10 over and a 14 over.

 

No , but mail slows down lot and more and more post offices close and routes get eliminated . Think of all the snail mail eliminated by e-mail and electronic and online banking . Then you have businesses cutting their advertising budget and reducing junk mail . More companies just offer online catalogs . USPS is being affected by the economy just like everybody else .
