It's a mixed bag. I've driven that road probably over 100 times over the years. My office was in Yuma and our regional office was in Boulder City, so commonly drove it, but in a 4 wheeler.
I've driven it once in a semi. Not a perfect route, but it's OK. Lots of stretches with no ability to pass and a few curvy spots with some ups and downs. No serious grades.
If I needed to go that way again, I wouldn't hesitate. Worst situation will he getting stuck behind a slower truck and not being able to pass for several miles.Hotplate, Lav-25, motocross25 and 3 others Thank this. -

Be glad you didnt have to drive that road back in the day 2 lane with a spot called deadmans curve. Idiots passing over hills around curves every weekend it seemed another cross popped up on the side after another stupid fatal crash due to cages in a rush to get home from vegas. Its was noted as one of the 10 deadliest roads in the USA. Its mostly 2 lanes south 2 lanes north nothing like back in the day so you will be fine.
krupa530 Thanks this. -
All good. Thanks for input. Not too bad of a road even though in places felt like a kid again riding me BMX, with all the up down whoops. Cheers.
