So I have a similar issue. Got my A in 2018, had about 3 months experience and then went local driving B's. I am looking to fo a refresher in central PA near Harrisburg area.

Schneider has an intermodal but is an hour away...

Loiking for options on refresher without a contract

Valley Proteins has facilities in Terre Hill, Somerset, Mifflintown, Philly.
Are you close to any of those places?

XPO Logistics in New Cumberland might take you.
This company hires drivers right out of cdl school and sometimes has their own cdl training.
XPO Logistics is currently seeking Class-A CDL Drivers for Local positions based in Harrisburg, PA.

China, let me ask your opinion. So I spoke with schneider and we are setting up orientation. I expmained that I o ky had the 3 months experience with A trucks, all B since a d that 3 months was in 2018. So it has been like 3.5 years. I feel I need tome to reacclimate. I kept pushing for the 3 week inexperienced training and he pushed me into a 4 day experienced training. I feel like I am being set up for failure. What's your advice...or anyone else?

Tell the recruiter you'll only do team runs, since you can't have the 3 week course.
    Otherwise, try a different company.

    @Back2truckin--previous Schneider driver here....

I did both dry van (to start) and intermodal with them (later).

Schneider's beginner driver training period--where you are out with a trainer in a truck together--is notoriously short.

I was out with my trainer for just over 4 days. That's right--just 4 days. That was/is not a typo.:eek::oops:o_O

If you feel you need more time with a trainer (and I would agree with that) -- then go with another company, instead.

YOU DO NOT want to start out doing intermodal duty at this point--with anybody.

Intermodal duty IS NOT a good place for rookies.

Go with one of the suggestions above, instead.

If for whatever reason you don't like what you've seen thus far--you can always ask Chinatown for a few more.

    Good luck! :D
