LOL...when I buy glasses, I tell them to give me the industrial lens and frames...you know, the one that can take a tarp in the face, and keep on working.
cke, God prefers Diesels, REO6205 and 4 others Thank this. -
nothing quite like fighting a frozen tarp on top of a frozen load, and a gust of wind comes and smacks that tarp right across your frozen face.. sure makes a guy think about easier ways to make a living.
Speed_Drums, cke, God prefers Diesels and 4 others Thank this. -
Wind, I'm talking about when I throw it up on my shoulder. You're tired and don't quite make it to the shoulder, or you're pulling it down from rack...and it doesn't land right.
SMACK....
cke, God prefers Diesels, InTooDeep and 4 others Thank this. -
My first trailer was a low boy
Bought a set of tarps
Sold those same tarps 4 years later. Used only 6 times
I didn’t see the love in tarping so off the trailer they went
Did car hauling for several years and when I went back to flatbed I bought a ConestogaLast edited: May 5, 2022

You need to smoke pall malls or lucky strikes to pull double drop.
I have been thinking about going to open deck too. I have the headache rack and the kit to do it. Van it's getting were you need to be lucky.
But then I think people will go over to step and flat anyway. So you will be in the same boat. But how long will it take????
If your going to sit you dont pay 200 a week to rent a van. Like you do with an SD.Last edited: May 10, 2022
