Refresher Course......if you haven't driven a truck in the last 3 days, you need one.

Backhaul.................just a term that means less money for the same miles you just covered.

Per Diem.................very fancy term for stick it to the driver, he won't notice-until later.

    Did I miss any ?????????

Do they still use terms like "Hand" today?.. Is a "Good-Buddy" still an insult for a homosexual?

Hand is still sometimes used and yes on good buddy. I heard the term skinner from a driver once a few years ago. I also got a look at that driver. He looked to be about 70. I asked about the term skinner and was told it refered to the wagon days where the teams that pulled them were mules. The drivers were called muleskinners.

driver i dont mind because you got to be careful not to offend somebody with a short fuse. But if anybody ever thought about calling me a steering wheel holder theyd get my mag lite upside there head.

I was always referred to by my hubby and his cohorts as "the GPS". They's run somewhere as a group, and I was frequently in the passenger seat. I always knew where we were and exactly how to get where we were going. My husband was always referred to as the BossMan. LMAO! I miss running with him.

    1) Recruiter
    2) Broker
    3) Lease

I will just sit back and read.
