Look at the date before posting. 5 year old thread. You know you don't have to use brokers
Siinman and God prefers Diesels Thank this. -
Im sure soon the protesting will begin to regulate those big bad brokers

Didn’t read all the posts so maybe mentioned?
Great idea but won’t work
You need more of an app like Uber To see loads in the area or LTL along your route
But this would mean that I would be chasing companies for payment unless it all was cod and we aren’t there yet
Maybe if all had Venmo or?
And I think once companies were educated they could pay us more while saving some of the broker cut meanwhile giving them extra $ to hire a person to handle the loads
But look at the company Abby
They answer companies calls and the HR one that pools the HR depts for several companies into 1
so that sorta shows companies have or are having less hands on -
Siinman Thanks this.

Hey Bob I completely agree I would be interested and have parked our truck until fuel prices drop and we figure out a way to cut out the middle man. I have our own authority and truck with trailer and brokers are not scheduling correctly not taking into consideration truck upkeep, fuel etc.... They are incredibly incompetent, rude and have no idea the hard work truckers put in to make sure their load arrives safely. I am based out of Dallas and working on other methods of obtaining loads would u like to have a call sometime?

If TQL is making those types of offer to just claim a new account then they have bad business plan and why we are getting horrible rates in the first place. Brokering has become so competitive because any average Joe can do it. In the end the truckers are the ones that suffer. If u disagree either get on the road in a big rig or if ur broker who disagrees u just proved my point u don't understand the road.

That’s not what sets rates
I can post all the loads I want ( I’m not a broker but an O/O
At $1 per mile
If no drivers grab it do you think another broker can post it at $0.75?
No!
If someone does grab it guess what? It’s the driver who actually set the rate
Sorta like a garage sale
