What's the short story?

 

Not nearly as much as I'd prefer to charge per once of sweat. Not saying I wouldn't do another one, but I'm not sure I'd do another one for this rate. Other than my 6' tarp strangely not being able to cover the 7' tall crates and having to turn it, it really wasn't bad. I may end up breaking down and getting 8' tarps. They might be a little heavier, but they'd have saved me a lot of work on this one.

 

Their yard is about a 20 minute drive from me, want me to go pee on one of their trucks?

Or a bag of flaming dog poo on the door step of their HQ?

 

just typical broker shenanigans , trying to shove it up my rear. they want me to track their load with an app and also do check calls 3 times a day... i said ok thats fine , i charge $500 for location tracking services or you can get rid of all that stuff and i will go on my merry way.. or get rid of the tracking and I will do check calls once a day for no charge... guy decided to start calling me names saying im the first person to ever say something so crazy, and is not going to negotiate this with me... this was after it took 2.5 hours to get the rate con, wasting all my time. obviously shopping another truck. because he then told me he already had a truck in route to the shipper for 1k cheaper than me.... good for him... i avoided a good ### ramming...

We got the Jake wired up. Been without it since putting the mechanical pump on. Really wasn't in a hurry Lol since all it does is make noise. Really helpful for grabbing 1st from low when loaded heavy since 1st is pretty high. Now just have to get a switch for the pedal

 

Hadn't thought of a Jake switch for a pump in a minute. Imagine going to a dealer nowadays and asking them to diagnose a Jake fault on a mechanical engine...

 

The local dealer I don't even think has a tech that still knows the old electronic Mack stuff
