between the megafuses and kill switch above battery box, sometimes with a press-button remote switch inside driver's door, and the ground with fusible link, quite a few options are covered here. I'm not sure how much would go out if the fusible link in the positive cable from the starter to the under-hood fuse box blew. that box handles ecm, vehicle ecu, and trailer lights + nox, abs and another thing or two. the red cable to the positive stud on the firewall pass-thru might have a fusible link in it. you could just use a multimeter to test for continuity between that positive stud and battery positive. there are a few mentions of megafuses above. mine are 150-amp and lying on the batteries. the same multimeter test would check those. but in the years since I've known them, I've never had one blow.
meanwhile, yes, about your comment that the last poster never followed up. so someone in trucking didn't post when he said he would. must be because the industry works us like dogs and we don't get the time to post. nor to lobby the government to protect ourselves from predatory legislation like aftertreatment mandates and their attendant 5 mph derates, electronic logs and the new ax to grind: governed speeds.
