About how long does it take for your home state to receive an out of state cdl exam after it's been submitted? In other words, I took the exam in Wisconsin and I am still waiting for the results here in Florida to get my CDL hard copy... it's been 5 days so far.

It's done immediately electronically so whenever they decide to submit it in WI. I did my training in WI as well and lived in VA at the time. The only hiccup was I had to go to 3 different DMVs before finding a person that knew what they were doing. They send it to the state's office which is in Richmond, VA in my case. So the DMV has to call them to get a release and confirm you did the training and got your CDL. First two places just looked in their own systems and didn't see it and told me it's not ready yet.

What do you mean by "waiting"? Have you been to the DMV office and they have no record, or are you waiting, thinking it will arrive in the mail?

It's 48 hours in MS for it to show up from a third party tester, but sometimes it's been delayed for a day or two in the last couple of years because of lockdowns and people not going to work.

I have been down to the DMV office twice last week and so far once this week. I get to a clerk, she checks the records through the state's main office which in this case is Tallahassee and they claim there's no records of any CDL tests.

I've spoken with 3 different clerks and a supervisor, sent several emails to the main DMV office and have been in contact with the company who administered the test who has confirmed that they sent in the results... so this is what I meant by waiting.

it is now in its second week, actually 7 business days. The DMV can't seem to grasp that by waiting, I'm going without a paycheck. I've heard that Florida is slow, but I didn't think they are handy-capped slow.

Thanks for the info. There is no reason that it should be taking this long unless the submission had an error. A name or license number error on that submission would cause this type of problem.

The problem is, no one but you seems to care. Hope you get this worked out soon.
