Truck purges normally at 120 psi and bleeds down to 90 psi and starts all over again. it's currently at the mechanic. The mechanic has ruled out the brake chambers and trailers.
He said that it has something to do with the air dryers.
This is what we have done so far:
We changed the air dryer valve but the problem still persists. He said he will replace the filter on monday.
I'm kinda having a hard time believing that the air dryer filter might be the problem this time. What do you think?

If you don't trust your mechanic why do you take your truck to him?

Nobody can diagnose your issue from behind a keyboard. If you trusted him you wouldn't be second guessing him. I suggest you get a mechanic you can trust and/or stop back seat driving on him.

You are somehow right. But it is better to be knowledgeable before dealing with them. I will definitely switch mechanic next time.

It's tough when you're paying so much money to a shop and they just hang parts instead of actually troubleshooting the issue. It wastes your hard earned money and steals revenue from you via down time.

I m trying not to be upset but I expect a mechanic to be more knowledgeable than me. But it's ok. I will do better next time. regardless, I will find someone else. I just don't want to go to love or TA. Those people are something else.

Can't blame you. Air leaks usually aren't too hard to find especially if it's leaking down as fast as you're claiming. Should be able to hear it in a quiet place with the engine off.

operates in conjunction with the compressor and maintains reservoir air pressure between a predetermined maximum and minimum pressure.
what makes you think it will be the governor?
