Does anyone know the location of the relay box on a 98 kw w900? Me and my mechanic are trying to locate the relay for my engine fan and it's not located in the fuse panel thats by the clutch pedal.

Or does anyone know the location of the engine fan relay?

Open the gauge panel and switch panel to the right of your speedometer. The engine fan relay is in there. You will have to dig around to find it , not mounted , it just lays in there towards the bottom.

I have a W900B that the former owner moved the fan relay to the upper firewall on the engine side for what it's worth.

    spsauerland Thanks this.

Now how you gona say that when there is nothing that shows the physical location of this specific relay?
Even with multiple phone calls to MHC kenworth, they didnt even know where it was located

remove the panels to the right of those , temp gauge panel and the switch panel next to it. Trust me the relay is there , it will be buried under a lot of air lines and wires

    spsauerland Thanks this.

It's called SIS. Fire your mechanic. Actually, my mistake. SIS is for CAT. This is indeed a KW diagram issue. If they can't find it by looking up your VIN than why not just run a new fused power wire and be done with it?

The diagram of the harness is no longer available K068-6648, but relay is part of the Cummins in cab harness. The fuse panel was designed before electronic engines, so add on harness were used for Cat, Cummins, or Detroit engines. I attached the diagram in your other thread. The diagrams calls out the wire #, color, and gauge. Find it that way. Most likely stuffed in behind gauges somewhere, been along time since I worked on one with a Cummins.
