Non Vent Vs Vented Fuel Caps?

    whats the difference between vented and non vented fuel caps?
    The fuel caps on my tanks say non vent
    can i use vented fuel caps or will my truck explode ?

    Truck won’t explode . I’m not sure but I think vented caps are mostly straight up in tank not at 11 or 1 o’clock position which might possibly leak if overfilled and parked at a angle idling .

    Vented caps have to used when the tanks themselves don’t have vents or pressure will build up. In your case if tanks are vented using a vented cap won’t hurt a thing but they will leak when full or if the fuel sloshes around and hits them in the tank a lot. Vented caps can also let water in so if they are sitting were they will got a direct hit of rain water and/or stay wet all the time that may cause water in fuel problems over time.
