McLane/Ancora Training

It would seem Ancora is just about everywhere, positioned as a 3rd party provider of training for various programs, to include some Community Colleges.

If you are in MN, have you considered going somewhere like Riverland Community College in Albert Lea for CDL training? That way you aren't locked in a contract and you get actual training to pass a CDL exam, not a "just enough for our tester to say you passed" CDL mill. Dakota County Technical College and St Cloud Technical and Community College also have CDL programs. In addition, you may qualify for a WIOA grant... let Uncle Sam pay for the training instead! Stop by your local Workforce Center to find out about grant eligibility.

 

I’m guessing that you don’t want or have the money to pay out of pocket, and you’re interested in working with McClane. So the rest doesn’t matter. Don’t overthink it. Pass the class.

 

I went through the Ancora training with McLane in Minnesota here a few months back.

Ita a perfectly fine way to go. The contract is not a big deal. If you leave you pay back the training cost which is fair. It's only 3k. They paid for it after all. You still have what you earned in the classroom.

You'll be fine to drive after you pass. You don't need some super special school. You will go with a trainer after you get your cdl. That person will show you everything you need to drive without hitting things. I don't think any driving academy is going to show you how to drag a 53 footer with a sleeper into the Family Dollar or Walgreens....
