Anyone get inspected?

Huntsville, TX on 45N doing that deal with the posse out there. Nobody bothered me yet.

 

I would have declined. That's THEIR job as the collector.

 

It's Ohio's public utility commission. Every state has one. State only DOT basically. They're usually looking to catch someone making an intrastate move without an intrastate authority. PA and Jersey do it a lot too and Joisey even tries to find nexus so they can hit you with tax penalties on top of it all.

 

What I find odd is that since I'm based out of Ohio, and Interstate, only had to buy PUCO permit first year to get a number, then UCR takes over after that. I'm right next to PA, but try not to take any PA intrastate loads. Haven't figured out how I need to file things there yet to do that, and their state's website gives a poor explaination.

 

PUC is bloodthirsty. They want 1 percent of your revenue yearly. You have to file a return with them and everything. Not worth it at all considering the dismal rates and sky high fuel tax. They're a nasty state for a transportation business IMO.

I did get a red light in IL today, and was inspected.
The inspection consisted of the officer eyeballing a few things while on the scale, and then I was waved on.
Just like the few trucks in front of me.

There were a few trucks pulled in to the parking area getting a more thorough inspection.

 

Was pulled in at bismarck eb yesterday level 1 got the good boy sticker in the windshield.
