lol[/QUOTE]
LOL.... NOPE, that was not us... I swear it!
We have been on HY 287 all day... TX, OK, CO, heading to WA. Keep calling those other yellow trucks Big Yeller though... I think it is a hoot when they ask why people keep calling them that... or Dabs! LOL One of the other guys in Randy's orientation group got a yellow Pete... I didn't know that (can't remember his name now) and I think you all have run into him more than once and called him Dabs or Big Yeller. He doesn't know that it is us!

This question may have already been asked and answered so I apologize in advance. But here goes if you have a drop in one area and then have to bobtail say 50-100 miles for your next pick up do they pay you for the bobtail miles or are you just S.O.L (solider out of luck) want to stay politically correct

thanks for any answer and I will start rereading all the post to see if i can find the answer .................see you all are stating to get some of us trained lol

All MT miles to pick up load are paid. We rarely go pick a load BT so most likely you have a trl with u at all times. The only time you won't get paid for MT miles is if you have to BT homeBigCountryChef Thanks this.

Anybody want some lettuce??? Got 22 cases Wal Mart refused. Gonna donate it to the local Fire Dept for Charity. If I only had some Bacon and tomatoes. Anybody headed upto Fultonville,NY from Wilcox???????? I guess I'll need a couple loaves of bread also
-
At the risk of sounding foolish, but since I am trying to learn about the reefer side of things. Why would they refuse said lettuce , spoiled or damaged I would guess? How are these types of claims handled? Does the driver get dinged, or charged back for that sort of thing. Am I wrong to assume that if the temps were set right , and the driver didn't shift the load or something, that there is going to be a certain percentage of damage sometimes.
-
Could be number of things ( boxes smashed, bad quality, etc) as long as you put an adequate number of load locks in and keep eye on temps ( both on the unit and at the vent door with a pulp thermometer) you will not be dinged for it. In these cases all u do is call os&d and they will give u a number to write on the bills. They will also tell u what to do with the product.BigCountryChef Thanks this.

yeah Wal-Mart has refused a few things from me before and I looked at the product and I could see nothing wrong with it.One time target refused 1200 cases of Apricots and they said there was mold/brusing and again I would have ate those too there was nothing wrong with them. You usually end up donating the products to somebody who needs them and sometimes they say just toss it? The question is always where do I throw away all this stuff? I once had a pallet of Soy milk get crushed by the dang reciever and they put it back on the truck and said they didn't want it.Took the Soy milk and the pallet to the truck wash in Kingdom City,Mo and the guy working there backed his truck up to my trailer and took all of it.Said he was going to feed it to his pigs. The question I still ask is .... How do you milk a bean ?????? And hey alan how was Flagstaff when you went through I am headed that way tomorrow.
