I still use my OD green Army laundry bag. Although I've only done laundry on the road twice in the last 3 years. Always prepared, tho.

So as I've sat here all F day waiting for the most F' up Petro ever just to get two steer tires I has noticed..........

Petro dude cuts kingpin lock off of Landstar trailer.

BCO paid by trailer utilization takes said trailer, that supposedly hasn't been used for 10 days to one of the DC's to get it back in circulation.

Supposedly they are cracking down because there's a three week wait to get a trailer for new BCO's.

    Great right?

Except...............to pick up a load at one of those places, you need an empty to drop off.

So exactly how does increasing the size of someone's trailer pool, put a trailer in the hands of someone that needs one????

The OM cannot figure this out.

Yeah hell, and you probably do not button your shirt pockets. Need to get with the program (Kiss Up); get an authorized bag, support the team.
Split your tongue so you can hit both cheeks and wonders will come your way.

Was he maybe taking it to get a load? Or just dropping it off at the DC?
Three weeks is insane, it has always been a long wait but three weeks?
Another reason I'm glad I have my own trailer.

To a DC. Says he moves 2 or 3 a week from the truck stops here to the DC's in the area.

They used to pay people to DH to pick up the trailer from wherever.

But I know you don't show up at a DC to get a load without an empty.

So all they are doing is increasing trailer pools, unless they are going to start people off saying go to one of these agents and get a preload.

I could see that happening, so the bigger corporate accounts get even bigger, the BCO gets even dumber, and more just a glorified company driver.

I would think it would be worth the live load/unload time just to know that you have a good trailer behind you.

Have to adapt, overcome, and improvise.

The last year or so, they have done a much better job of cracking down on a lot of the agents that are just stooges.

Those all involved live / live, but the agents were so f/u, you might sit on the load for several days ( and be uncompensated ).

So the preloads were much better. And a few agents had really good rates for awhile, even though more than half of the trailers were in disrepair.

Now, rates are way back down ( mostly ). More than half of what we do are live / live for much better agents, and even the one's that were tarded have gotten it together. And we are going more and more live / live, so money wise now it hurts.

And of course not having to waste your life waiting at a TA to get some junk fixed is priceless.
