    That is basically how mine is. Has 4 deep cycle batteries to run the household loads ac etc. I don't sleep in the truck much so no extensive experience running it. It does a pretty good job cooling on hot nights, but not as good as an APU. It will require main engine start to change after 8 hrs continuous ac running
