hey dont sweat it bud i did the same thing they were who i started out trucking with and i was under contract for 6 months with them, if at all possible try and get on Ernie Scourage board he was a really good dispatcher

try and get your dispatcher to keep you down on I-10 and I-40 and I-70during the winter months the snow and ice up north will slow you down and u will make less

I don't think CRST uses EZ-Pass.I see them waiting in long lines to pay cash while I slip on thru with the EZ Pass!

Sorry to hear the bad experiences. I mentioned on another post that I am currently in a college school, and recently had several recruiters including one from CRST sell their company.

From the get go, this guido, came in and talked about how good they are and blah blah blah. He talked about their pay scale and I believe it was .30pm. He even offered a sign on bonus of $500 where he was ready to give up front -$250 until orientation completion. Of course he wanted fools to sign during our first day of school. I saw a couple tempted, but they were smart and held out.

He mentioned that they pay on tues & thurs. I asked him to explain the reason of 2 paydays in 2 days. He stated that incase the paperwork was not turned in on-time, it would be processed fast so you would not have to wait another week.... Like this was a perk of their company. It smelled fishy, maybe some1 could clarify it.

Anyway, I scratched their name off my list before reading this thread, and glad I had done so. I am really thankful for this site and appreciate the members telling a Truckin Noob the rest story!

Man I am glade I found this thread. I was all set to go to work for CRST. The recruiter made it sound like the perfect job. As a recent grad and newbie I thought teaming was the way to go and make some bucks. I have since gotten wiser through research and CRST is not for me.

I currently work for CRST and am looking for a new job now. I have over 3 years in with them accident, and ticket free accept for hitting a deer just before this winter. I have an exceptional on time pick up and delivery record and have never had any negitive run-ins with managment. So one would think I'm the kind of guy they respect right? No! I get ok miles but I make .34 per mile and when I call in I'm treated like a student. My FM told me that they where told by some corperate group that it is best to treat every one the same and because most drivers are students or still under contract... ...you see where I'm going. Also now that I have 3 years in I don't get any type of bonus for training students but they still expect me to. When I do train students my pass/fail ruling meens nothing and every one I failed is still with the company with no further training after leaving my truck. I have been in 10 (no joke) differant trucks. The one I'm in now I have had for 1.5 years with no AC for a year of that while running dedicated across the NV desert all summer. My fuel filter clogs every 7-9k miles and I'm told thats 'normal'. I'm looking to get out of here my problem is I live in the middle of no wear of Northern CA and no one will work with me on home time even thought I only want to be in that area every 3-3 1/2 months or so for 2 weeks.
