Where is everyone #5

Followed this suggestion in a way. Rubbed it down with my brisket mix. Black pepper, white pepper, garlic powder and some Everglades Heat (dang good stuff).

 

Threw this bad boy on the smoker at 225° shooting for 165°. Once there, I will wrap in pink butcher paper and throw it back on until 190°.

 

So I am curled up on the sectional and ask what everyone wants for side dishes for tomorrows main meal. The requests are:
Broken Potato salad.
Macaroni Salad
Mac and Cheese
50-50 Slaw (part vinegar, part mayo.)
Tuxed Asparagus
And out of left field:


Pumpkin pie. "What? I couldn't make it for Thanksgiving!" Says Army buddy.

Well, okay pumpkin pie with peaches and a blueberry cobbler.

My oldest decided that Mom's property needed a tweak or two. I know have lights in the chicken coop that will mimic a early summer sunrise and length of day so the birds will lay better. A watering system in the current garden that will apply optimual water for this years plants. Upgrade in the security for the house. He and the Army buds are putting in better lights in the shop. They have also decided that I needed and electric gate at the entrance to the property and better lighting all around. I guess the guys will earn their keep!

I forgot the thankless water heater and the auto watering for the chickens. And they are moving the coop and chicken yard and will compost those droppings for next years garden.

Good to have the guys around.

 

Looks good, wonder how it would be after setting out for 3 or 4 days….?
