Why would you even consider a 1099 job? Probably no workman's comp, and then you are responsible for about 15 to 20% of the earnings in payroll taxes.
Where are you located? Many jobs available in trucking right now that treat the employee very well.
Looking for change, maybe lease or 1099

Thanks Boys, I always was iffy about lease and 1099 so prolly not. My current company treats me very well, but it's very boring. I want to pick my loads and do 48 otr/physical work. I've seen sleeper trucks delivering to Mexican restaurants with ramps around here, would love to do something like that.

Go to work for Coca Cola. Good money, lots of hard Labor. 1099 can easily turn into an IRS nightmare. Buy your Own Truck.
Lease it someone’s authority. They’ll pay you on a 1099. Write off operating costs. You don’t need anyone holding your hand, making money off your Labor. Beware of those that offer to “Help” you succeed, or “Teach” you how to make money with their “Program” of “How I did it”.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
