Please educate me some more.
Talking with the mechanic at work, and mentioned what you said about the gasket between the ports on manifold under turbo being blown. He said that aftermarket gasket don't even have the gasket in the middle. Also this is a Full Tilt ceramic manifold if that makes any difference.
I haven't had a chance to check any of the things you ask me to check yet hopefully this weekend.
Thanks

@wore out
Check throttled opening this morning and it wasn’t moving breakover portion of lever at all. Adjusted it as far as I could and got it to move half way. It moved idlefrom 650 to 800 doing this, couldn’t get enough adjustment otherwise. I may have something wore out on the linkage.
So what does breakover portion of throttle do?Last edited: Jun 3, 2022

I would have changed the intake manifold temperature sensor.
Like yesterday. To start with. -
Wouldn’t help it I assure youAnother Canadian driver and Oxbow Thank this.

Break over holds pressure on the govnor spring. There’s a fine line on adjustment you gotta take the 3/8 bolt out and move the lever 1 hole then adjust your linkage. After a few tries you’ll finally find something that will workAnother Canadian driver, rs72z and Oxbow Thank this.

Sorry to hear that.
Great engine, but fussy, sometime. -
Does a mechanical cat have intake air temp sensor? If so why and what purpose? Just trying to learn?Last edited: Jun 4, 2022
