I'd immediately look for another job. I get tired and a headache when it's too hot and can't sleep. Remember a vehicle gets much hotter than the outside air.
If I make a mistake due to heat exhaustion and hit something it'll stay on my record for years. Better to just find another company.
Besides if the company cares so little about a driver why would I trust them?

Every model can be downloaded for lifetime numbers if you do it monthly it’s easy to figure out .. currently drivers can work anywhere so you need to be diplomatic about it or risk losing a big percentage of drivers..

Full detailed Reports can be easily retrieved from all 3 engines. Some of our fleets require the reports as part of a PM service. Get with your servicing shops and see if you can get the reports collected as part of your service routines. Prolly easy for dealers. Not so much for quick lubes.

I second using ELD reports vs ECM reports. Why waste technician time by pulling reports that could be done through ELD on operations side. This way all information and reports are in same format for all engine brands. And yes, you can get history reports through DAVIE. DAVIE is way better tool than most give it credit. I like it better than Insite.

This is my Verizon Reveal ELD system.

You can pull daily reports on any vehicle in your fleet.

83 cents a mile seems good for the kind of work you do.

That's just a guess, I think the average that truck does OTR is ( or at least what I budget for ) is $1.05 / mile just in fuel.
