3406b valve set

    would i even need a crowsfoot? or just use a wrench to snugg jam nut, i thought i seen sumplace that jam nut was supposed be torque to 22 ft lbs , thus needing a crows foot to torque? i could be wrong

    I normally use a torque adapter like this: 41AOruC4y7L.jpg
    Seems to stay on the jam nut better. Key is to make sure you point it 90° out to the side of the torque wrench so that it doesn't affect the torque setting. Out the front would over-torque it, pointing it straight back would under-torque it.

    I think setting lash on the jakes requires either a special feeler or two sets so you get an accurate reading.

    thats what im kinda wondering if anyone has a procedure and a tool list, ill go buy anything i dont have, just want to have everything a a plan when go to do

    It's very basic, just need to get a feeler under both sides when doing the jakes and make sure you're setting correctly for your application.
    I use a wrench and a screwdriver with two feelers for the jakes and haven't had any problems yet.
    Just be certain of your make and model of jakes to get the proper lash setting as that's crucial.

    correct, just looking for a model so i can get the correct spec , ill pull a cover to check id tag when i get a cance
