I'm at 6 years accident free. I can only seem to get .50-.62 OTR offers, and just stick with local stuff cause I make about what I would .62 averaging 3000 miles a week. Where are all these .70-.82 OTR *company-driver* companies? How long does it take to get on at one?

Walmart has raised their first year average pay for new drivers to $95,000 to $110,000 annually. Broken down down over 52 weeks that comes out to $1,826.00 to $2,115.00 - if you average 2,500 miles a week that comes out to .73 to .84 cpm. they also pay accessorial pau for fueling, layover and other on-duty related functions.

BINGO! Finally, someone who pegged it, I've long said they rarely exist. Oh sure, they do in the minds of recruiters, but the reality is, and you are finding out, .50-.62 is about it, except in rare cases, like unless daddy owns Safeway, the average driver probably won't ever see that.
BTW, just for gits and shiggles, 3,000 miles times .60 cpm is about $1800/week, or about $90 grand/year. To put things in perspective, that's 3 TIMES what I made as a truck driver in my best day. I know, crackers weren't $4/box either. It's a shame you can't make it on $90g's /year.

We are almost identical pay scale. Guaranteed 1800 on 3k miles but if you work less the rate per mile significantly jumps , anything over 3k miles you get bonus.

Side note: I'd expect these rate per mile pay scales to plummet in the next 18 months as the market continues to crash .. no company will be able to afford it.

$.70 exists with these companies who pay by scale. You'll get .70 for loads under 25 miles then slowly go down from there.
