Cash back on business credit card

I used the AMEX gold business, 4x points on fuel up to 100k I believe. Also uses bonvoy business, gets great hotel benefits! And chase sapphire for all other expenses

 

How does that work? I thought fuel cards were like "credit cards", so wouldn't you use the fuel card for diesel at truck stops instead of your AMEX? Sorry, this is all new to me.

 

Some of use fuel cards and credit cards. Which ever works best for us. If a mom and pop has a better rate than a fuel network we will hit it and get cash back on credit cards. No annual fee and no interest if paid before invoice. Too easy.
