I haven’t found a tread that matches my circumstances. I have a clean DAC report, but I haven’t driven a truck since 2015. I completed truck driving school in 2014, and I have an active CDL-A. However, since it’s been so many years I’d prefer going through training again. It really can’t hurt, but this is where I am hitting some problems. Washington State is a no-fault state, all accidents regardless of whose at fault will appear on your driving record for a period of 5 years.

I’ve had the most unfortunate experiences in Washington State in the past few years where. 8/31/2015 an Uber Lease Car Driver blew a stop sign when I had the right-of-way and totaled my private vehicle. That one should be off the driving record. However, I still mention that, because I kid you not that was like the catalyst of a longer string of unfortunate circumstances. Trying to leave Washington State was like trying to get off of Alcatraz Island. Washington State became my own hell on earth I tell ya’!

Because, next on 8/31/2018 literally 3 years to the day I was T-Boned by a reckless driver in a Walmart parking lot. She was speeding and hit the rental car I was in so hard that she broke the front driver’s side tire off and spun my car around! I was stopped at the time she nailed me.

Then 12/2/2019, a driver on Sumner-Tapps Hwy. was going too fast around a bend and crossed the center line and hit me head on. There was no room or time to react to this accident! He totaled my car.

If that wasn’t bad enough on April 2, 2020, the Tacoma Police, Pierce County Sheriffs Department, and Washington State Patrol were in active pursuit of a stolen Enterprise Rental Car. The car jacker had shot the person who rented the car 5 times in an apartment complex. These law enforcement agencies were all in active pursuit of this stolen vehicle. Then the vehicle was T-Boned by another driver and it caused the stolen car to spin out of control and hit me on the driver’s side of my car. This my dash camera picked up, and I was able to share the footage via YouTube.

Then on 12/11/2020 a woman taking a turn too fast ended up having to swerve to avoid collision with another vehicle making a left turn into a business parking lot, while I was waiting to make a right turn out of a car wash parking lot. She ended up swerving too much and hit the front of my car. I was at a complete stop waiting to turn out onto the road when this woman struck my car. However, even though I am not at fault, just the fact that 4 of these accidents (none of which was I ever given a ticket for.) Because, I wasn’t at fault. These accidents will appear on my record, the one in 8/31/2018 will drop off my record in 2023, However, the other ones will not fall off until 2024-2025.

I’m having a hard time finding a company that will hire me, or even allow me into a CDL training program. I know people say refresher course, but honestly I would rather have the extra training. Does anyone know of any company that runs all 48 states who has a huge hiring zone that encompasses from at least Washington State to Wisconsin, that would allow me to join their training program?

    UPDATE:

I just purchased a copy of my driving abstract from the DOL and only the following 3 accidents are appearing on my abstract the 8/31/2018 with the crazy Walmart parking lot driver, and 12/2/2019 head on collision and the 4/2/2020 with the police chase of the stolen rental car. So, that’s where I am standing.

@Chinatown is our resident job guru. He usually knows who will hire a person with a record like yours. He's not affiliated with TTR, he just likes to help people.
Where are you living now and what kind of trucking are you interested in?

    No Recent Experience? No Problem.
We’ve pioneered the industry’s first “REFRESHER” program for drivers with NO RECENT EXPERIENCE, including drivers who have a CDL but didn’t attend truck driving school. Most trucking companies require you have recent driving experience regardless of how much driving history you have. If you don’t, they make you go back to school, which costs you time and money. But at Western Express, we recognize your past driving experience, or your past CDL A school training, and provide you the on-the-job PAID TRAINING you need to get on the road fast. Call now to come back to truck driving earning TOP PAY – Right Away!

Apply online before calling. In your case, definitely submit the online application before calling.
    `
I'd also explain, in writing, or copy/paste your post to send to the recruiter after he contacts you if the recruiter wants a written explanation.
Better yet, get a copy of your driving record from the DMV which should show none were your fault.

A driver in NYC had 12 fender-benders in his taxi, then found a good trucking job.
He checked Craigslist, then made dozens of phone calls and left dozens of phone messages. He had a pretty good job within a week.
There's also Facebook which has trucking groups and some find decent jobs there.

Geez, with that kind of luck it's good you are not an airline pilot.

It's possible that making a living on the road just isn't in the cards for you. I don't mean that as a slam against you, just that sometimes the stars don't align.
