One of the few times you will see me with gasoline and a flame thrower. Gotta kill them all.

 

Good to know that I was dumb lucky it wasn't fire ants then. The welts my "new friends" left me faded rather quickly after I put on some hydrocortisone cream. Bald faced hornets almost always require that I make a trip to the ER, but they tend to get me on the head or face.

 

Be careful out there, the "critters" we have around now, will kill you.

Red ants are a type of fire ant. Also known as piss ants. Because they bite the piss out of you. In the south a red mud mound is a fire ant mound, and are to be avoided. They are vicious sob’s.

generally they are just called fire ants.
