903 or 555. Reminded me more of a Detroit than a Cummins. Revved about 2600 and got in the way a lot.

Well I honestly don’t think anyone is looking to put a 220 on the road today. But nonetheless an NH743 was 743 the NH855 was 855Last edited: Jun 14, 2022

Guy my dad hauled with had one in a wide hood T800. That thing hauled ###. He'd fly up the hills a full gear higher than just about everyone else at around 120k lbs. Fuel mileage didn't matter since it was rare to break above 5 mpg doing what they did.Feedman and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Still some working. Farm near by has a pair of 2000D grain trucks they still use.

I notice nobody is bragging about the Cummins master piece 444
There was another great gift of a boat anchormile marker 27, wore out, W923 and 1 other person Thank this. -
If you ever priced fuel/stc system parts for them cat would seem like a bargain lol
In all reality aftermarket parts are pretty close in price and I am guessing based on the last n14 I overhauled genuine isn’t that far apart either. There used to be a pretty significant gap but cummins decided they were giving to many bargains or somethingspsauerland, bumper Jack, Last Call and 2 others Thank this. -
The "Cripple Four"

Not a fan of the crippled 4? The twin turbo 475’s blew up even faster.

I miss them ol triple nickels. I made a pot full a money off of em. Euclid used them some as well as Detroit’s in there haul trucks. Pulling a 903 out of a Versatile tractor and putting a Big Cam in its place was way tougher than it looked before hand.
mile marker 27, Feedman, spsauerland and 2 others Thank this.
