    Interesting to find out. By the dovetail style lock taps on the end of that one piece it looks like a clamp of some sort.

    This is reinforcment from bottom coolant hose on radiator internal to reinforce the plastic so it doesn't break, there is a good change there is more in that system remove bottom and top radiator hose and see if one of the internal reinforcments is missing of if radiator broke recently, funny first time i see this though.
