That is crazy how much it went up.

That's why i canceled 15 new ones. 20K/trailer increase. For 300K i can do a lot of repairs until it settles down. I think by the end of the year there will be a lot of 1-3 year old repo's cheap. Used prices are already taking a big dive.Elroythekid, Accidental Trucker and Siinman Thank this.

For sure if it keeps going like this. Gonna be some nice repos from banks. I would get some connections to the big banks who financed these trailers.

Western trailers is saying 18 months out for the decks, and there prices are astronomical.
Sales guy did say he is starting to see some cancelations thokrupa530 Thanks this. -
I have a friend working at Truck Centers Freightliner and he says there are many canceled orders of new cascadias .
-
I would imagine with interest going up. There'll be a lot of canceling with whatever the rate will be when it comes time to purchase. The fed isn't done yet.
Course. If people actually paid attention. They would have known this was going to happen. And maybe thought twice. -
jfi. I was doing delivery in N Las Vegas two weeks ago and saw a yard full of new dry vans. I have never seen such a brands - de lucia and astro or maybe atro... more than 50 of them were resting under sun at fenced yard..

I'm sitting on the sidelines but hoping reefer trailers drop in price. I took delivery of a Utility with Carrier unit for $94.5K that I ordered it back in November and will not pay above that unless its for a better speced trailer.
It's going to be interesting to see what these dealers do. They have paid at the top of the market for trade-ins and I wonder how long they sit on their inventory before they start taking losses.
As I mentioned on another thread, even new gliders are available and think that is your best bang for the buck. A buddy was quoted $231K for a O/O speced 389 and I know I'd much rather have this brand new glider for $235K.
