Yeah, our standup is an 'SPT' brand(?), and the good thing about these is that they are actually an A/C unit AND Heater. We got it years ago, so better more efficient units might be better options now, but this thing just keeps on working when we need it the most...and thanks for the idea...I'm setting my garage up to be able to work out of it on small engines and stuff, and hadn't thought of that... Right now, I just have a fan running when the door's open, but if I want to close it and work in it out of view, that's an idea I think I'll use it for. Thanks.

 

Yeah, Florida is one state I can't deal with. The humidity is outrageous, even for a northern boy. I like the dry heat of the southwest, Texas, etc..but I don't care for the east coast and southern eastern/south coast areas. It's like a wet sauna, instead of a dry sauna.

 

Mine is connected in the engine compartment on the passenger side.
