Hey I was wondering what people thought about working for loves driving there tanker truck. I have noticed since the loves in madras Oregon opened about a year or so ago it seems there always looking for a driver. Then they supposedly hire someone and then a month or so later they are hiring again. Makes be wonder if they are such sticklers that they will just fire people over the smallest crap or cause people to up quit over some BS.

More the former then the latter. Hauling hazmat is a LOT more strict then other types of trucking to begin with and hauling around liquid hazmat takes that to a whole new level. Ita really easy to get canned for insurance reasons doing it.

The most common issue in fuel/DEF delivery is usually the required 12 hours days, new guys usually must work nights until a vet leaves, days off are unlikley to be Sat & Sun, but other days, and the days off may not be consecutive. Also, some bigger tanker companies do spot surveillance, in addition to the electronic monitoring of driving habits. ALMOST all new drivers arrive with terrible 4-wheeler driving habits, and many people not young drivers have little work ethic. In states with legal pot, maybe the new drivers are not keeping clean. There could be a number of things going on. Generally the Love's tanker jobs are pretty decent. Maybe the new drivers get tired of driving to/from Portland and quit. I don't know where that Love's loads product. I'd jump off a bridge before I volunteered for frequent trips to Portland. I spent last year at another company doing that much more than I wanted.

Can't blame you there. Their moto isn't "Keep Portland Weird" for nothing. One of the cesspools of the west coast.

Yeah I have yanked a tanker around for 3 years. I have seen loves heading towards Portland or heading back to madras. So I guess they must load in Portland would be my guess but I see how doing that same run day in day out would probably getting boring. I hated having to go to or though Portland myself which I had to do almost every week or so. But it is crazy how they have to keep trying to hire someone. They are offering $ 30 per hour.

Portland should have been my cup of tea...I LOVE weirdos. They're my people!

I will never again go to Portland. I was telling my brother the other day that Portland is a city made up of the #### heads who don't want to contribute at a commune. Lol
